Frequently Asked Questions

IF A PARALEGAL CAN EASILY DRAW UP DIVORCE PAPERS AND FILE THEM, WHY WOULD SOMEONE NEED TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY?
At Just Write we handle more basic divorces. (non-contested) When both parties are in agreement with each other and have decided to part ways amicably, it is a simple matter of specific paperwork being presented to the court, a waiting period, etc. We walk our clients through the steps and take care of every aspect we can. However, in contested divorces, it is our belief that no paralegal (or anyone other than a licensed attorney) should venture to proceed with a divorce. We want to make that abundantly clear. Should your divorce be like a "War of the Roses" we implore you to hire one of the many capable divorce attorneys in your town.
What proof must be presented when documents are notarized?
You will need a government issued I.D. that is current and not expired. Examples are State Driver's License, Passport, Military Card.
What if I need a Notary outside of normal business hours due to my work schedule?
Just Write will accommodate you as long as a confirmed appointment is made.  If severely after hours, payment is required the same day of service prior to services being rendered.
Do you charge a consultation fee?
Yes, Just Write charges a consultation fee of $100.00. This fee goes toward services if hired.
Am I required to meet with you in person for the consultation?
No, you are not required to meet in person.  We can meet via zoom or simply talk on the phone for the consultation.
What type of payments do you accept?
Just Write accepts PayPal, Cash, Certified Checks, and Cash App..
When should I sign my document that I need notarized?
When a document requires notarization, you should wait and sign the document in the presence of the Notary and witnesses if the document requires witnesses. Signing the document outside of the presence of the Notary voids the legality of the document.
What if I need a specific form created and then notarized?
Just Write is equipped to create any tailor-made document you may need and notarize it.
When is payment due?
For documents being notarized, payment is due at the time of notarization.  For documents being typed/drafted/created payment must be tendered prior to any work beginning.
When will I receive my documents?
Our normal turnaround time is 5 business days for general items, but if you need it sooner for a small convenience fee we can meet your needs.  Additionally, should your documents be more complex and require a great amount of attention, we will arrive at an agreed upon time to deliver your documents to you as soon as possible.
Does Just Write supply standard/general documents?
Yes, Just Write can supply general documents (i.e. Bill of Sale, Act of Donation for Movable Property, etc.).
Does Just Write provide any refunds?
For the most part once you have hired Just Write and we begin working on your requested service(s) or document(s), a refund will not be provided.  The Reason behind this is because once you hire Just Write we begin working on your legal documents immediately.  We begin immediately because we want to provide the best and most urgent service to our clients as possible.  Additionally, time, energy, and research goes into each project that Just Write is contracted for; therefore, providing a refund after work has already been completed would not do justice to Just Write.
